About

Franciska Meijers is a colour designer based in the Netherlands. She works for international design studios and undertakes independent projects and commissions.

Franciska creates textiles, booklets, concepts, and objects driven by her wonder for nature’s colours. ‘Nature surrounds us with the most dazzling colours — of flowers, animals, even stones — that are always in perfect harmony with each other. When viewing a poppy flower from up close, you might notice many colours in one single petal, ranging from red to magenta.’

Franciska has worked for renowned international design studios, including Studio Stefan Scholten, Hella Jongerius, Royal Tichelaar Makkum, and Scholten & Baijings. From 2015 to 2021, she worked for Studio Wieki Somers, contributing to projects for prestigious clients such as Hermès, Wallpaper* Magazine, Robeco, Moroso, Galerie Kreo, 2016/ Arita, Thomas Eyck, Musée Mudac, and Kvadrat.
